User Profiles
=============

Pathfinder provides an easily manageable set of user profiles:

* :ref:`Company administrators <user_admin>`

* :ref:`Scenario editors <user_editor>`

* :ref:`Viewers <user_viewer>`

.. _user_admin:

Admin/Staff Users
-----------------

The administrator users can:

* Login into the `administration site <https://pathfinder.gilytics.com/admin>`_.

* Create and manage company users and their roles. 

* Configure :doc:`advanced properties <manageOptions>` and manage the company's projects, datasets, layers and scenarios.

* Create projects. Other roles cannot create new projects or change their data.

* Add data to the company base datasets.

* Add layers to projects and configure them.

However, the administrators **can not** change some company options, including:

  * Available routing algorithms.

  * Available geoprocesses.

  * Maximum analysis area size.

When a license is purchased, Gilytics will setup at least one administration user in your organization.

Scenario Editors
----------------

The scenario editors can:

* Open projects created and configured by administrators

* Create, modify and delete scenarios in those projects

* Run processes to create resistance maps, corridors and paths, and run available geoprocesses

* Export reports and scenario results

The editor users **can not** perform administration tasks like:

* Create projects

* Add datasets to the company and add layers to projects

* Change categories or change layer configuration (rings)

* Access the administration site

Viewers
-------

Viewer users can see the data and results of projects configured by administrators and editors.

They are able to:

* Open projects (when they have permission)

* Add shared scenarios to them

* Explore the data and analysis results, including statistics. They can change locally their visibility and colors.

* Print reports

* Download the results


Free Trial Users
----------------

Any user role can be provided temporarily by Gilytics as a trial user. These users are active for a limited period, normally 15 days.

In most cases, free trial users have the editor role, so they can test existing demo projects creating their own scenarios and performing analysis processes.
